In line with their mission of creating exceptional values for stakeholders, Sigma Pensions partnered with JA Nigeria to equip 100 young people in Abuja with Digital Skills. From September 6 – 10 2021, participants ranging from age 18 – 25 went   through an intense Digital Bootcamp they were trained in Digital Marketing, Web Development and Graphics Design.

In 2016, we embarked on a Digital transformation journey which has resulted in a radical transformation in our business and service delivery to both internal and external customers said Afolabi Folayan (Executive Director, Operations Sigma Pensions).

Leveraging on technology, our business had little or no negative impact during the pandemic as we were able to seamlessly service our customers without any interruptions. We have experienced the power of digital technology and its exponential impact on growth further emphasizes the importance of digital skills amongst young people. This is why we embarked on this Corporate Social Responsibility Project to equip young people with digital skills which will add value to them, improve their employability, create businesses and in extension grow the Nigerian economy

Through this Bootcamp, the company aims to equip young Nigerians with relevant digital skills which will serve as a springboard for a career in Web development, Graphics and Animation or any preferred field in Tech.

The 5-day event closed with an exhibition where participants showcased their ideas, websites and designs, The outstanding group was rewarded with a cash prize of N200,000.
